Dry Manhattan: Prohibition in New York City
So, the story goes that my maternal grandmother was a bootlegger during prohibition. I thought I should read about it. As a read, well it could be better. No pictures, long winded, not nearly enough 'stories' but many statistics and a good tale of how The Great Experiment failed and how politics was dirty, even back then. Great cover art however. In short, it, in itself, is a tad ... dry.
